Bespoke investment opportunities arise following a divestment, turnaround, succession, restructuring, insolvency including management buy-in or carve-out and often open the door to new development opportunities.

2D Equity Partners works with established, old economy companies with the following characteristics:

turnover up to EUR 500 million either profitable, underperformer or loss making;

stable market(s) and a firm asset base;

discernible growth potential;

an equity requirement of up to EUR 20 million.

Our experience covers a broad range of industrial sectors, from automotive and machine tooling companies to food (processing) specialists, and includes organisations active in the underlying supply chains.

Approach

Our objective is to develop the organisations in which we participate by formulating and implementing an appropriate growth strategy (which may necessitate further acquisitions, disposals, and reorganisations).

We encourage management to participate in the equity of the organisations in which we invest.

Where feasible and appropriate, management input will be provided by 2D Equity Partners, either directly or through the involvement of other portfolio companies.

By defining specific transaction parameters – including expense caps and restrictions on the distribution of profits – we are able to secure a reasonable medium-term return.
